Institutional History
The Global Immigration & Mobility Institute was established to address a critical gap in professional standards and training within the immigration and global mobility sector. As international talent movement became increasingly complex and regulated, the need for rigorously trained, ethically grounded professionals became paramount.
GIMI was founded by senior experts from Northman & Sterling, bringing decades of combined experience in immigration law, corporate mobility, and professional education. The founding team recognized that traditional approaches to training—focused primarily on theoretical knowledge—were insufficient for preparing practitioners to handle real-world cases with competence and confidence.
